Institute of Quarrying National Conference 2021

An interactive and informative site tour was held in conjunction with the 63rd IQA National Conference which incorporated:

Tour of the Port of Newcastle and Newcastle Harbour
Port of Newcastle is Australia's deepwater global gateway, the largest on the nation's East Coast. The port currently handles 4400 shipping movements and 164 million tonnes of cargo annually. A representative from the Port of Newcastle will join us on the tour to provide key information regarding the Port and its operations.

Tour of the Mines Rescue Station
An initiative of Coal Services, the Newcastle Mines Rescue Station has provided emergency response to mines since 1926. The Station plays an important role in assisting the mining industry to manage risk and ensure safety in underground operations.
